Adamawa State Polytechnic: Courses, Portal, School Fees, Application Form, and More

Adamawa State Polytechnic is a Nigerian tertiary institution situated in Numan, Adamawa State. It was established in 1991 when the Yola College of Preliminary Studies and the Numan Staff Development Institute merged. Computer Science, Statistics, Accountancy, Business Studies, and Secretarial Studies were among the National Diploma programs offered by the new polytechnic. The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has accredited the state-run polytechnic. The school’s lecturers, staff, and students are all skilled, qualified, and committed. It also has the capability and intent of training students for the professions of their choice.

The polytechnics have other campuses, including the Jambutu campus and the Numan campus, in addition to the Yola Main campus.

Adamawa State Polytechnic Yola Degree Program

Effective in the 2021 Academic Session, Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola, has been approved to begin offering degree programs in affiliation with the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID). This news followed an announcement by the rector of Adamawa State Polytechnic, Prof. Ibrahim Umar.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) must give final approval to the approved Degree Programs. The polytechnic, which is affiliated with the University of Maiduguri, currently offers 19 accredited programs in seven faculties, all of which have been certified by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

B.A. Mass Communication, B.A. English, B.A. Corporate Education, B.Sc. Accountancy, B.Sc Banking and Finance, and B.Sc. Economics are some of the degree courses that will be offered.

The school fees for new students at Adamawa State Polytechnic for the 2020/2021 academic session are expected to range from N65,000 to N95,000.  When school resumes, students are encouraged to gain pertinent knowledge about the revised fees.

Adamawa State University is situated in Mubi, Adamawa State, Nigeria, in the Northern Senatorial District. The Adamawa State University Law No. 10 of 2001 founded the institution in 2002.

Adamawa State Polytechnic Post UTME

Adamawa State Polytechnic invites qualified candidates seeking admission into the institution to apply for its Post UTME for the 2020/2021 academic session.

Below are the requirements for the Post UTME screening:

  • Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 4 credit passes in relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) at O’ Level. It must be obtained at not more than two sittings.
  • Candidates should have sat for the 2020 UTME and scored 120 or above.
  • Candidates seeking admission into the institution’s National Diploma (ND) programmes must have sat for the JAMB UTME and given admission by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.
  • To complete the online application form, candidates should visit Adamawa State Polytechnic’s portal.
  • Candidates must pay the Post UTME screening fee of two thousand naira. They can access complete the online application online after paying the screening fee.

Post UTME Cut Off Mark

Adamawa State Polytechnic Post UTME cut off mark is 120. This means that for candidates to be qualified for the Post UTME screening and qualified for admission, they must score a minimum of 120 in the 2020 UTME.

Below is a guideline on how to apply for the Post UTME form:

  • Candidates should visit the institution’s portal: http://adamawapoly.edu.ng/
  • Go to the Adamawa Polytechnic portal and follow the instructions.
  • Complete the form and upload the necessary documents.
  • Fill out and submit the application form. Afterwards, print the Post UTME slip.

Candidates will also be expected to attend the Adamawa State Polytechnic Post-UTME screening on the date and time assigned to them.

Candidates are required to pay a screening fee of two thousand naira. This fee excludes bank charges.

Candidates must also appear for the Post-UTME Aptitude Test on the date and time specified on their printed Registration Slip.
