Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, is a state-owned institution of higher learning founded by Edict No. 1 of 1998. Located in Bauchi State, Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes.

The state government owns three tertiary institutions, including the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic. Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic was established in 1988 by Edict No. 1.

The Bauchi State Government finances and operates the polytechnic. Since its inception in 1988, the polytechnic has produced excellent graduates in the fields of technology and commerce. Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi Resumption Date

Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic resumed academic activities on the 18th of January, 2021. The management approved this date following a directive from the Federal Ministry of Education.

The Federal Government announced that schools should resume on this said date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students are advised to adhere to the guidelines given by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). They should maintain social distancing, wear face masks at all times, and wash their hands on a regular basis.

Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic cut off mark is 120. Candidates must score 120 or above in the 2020 UTME before they can be qualified for the Post UTME screening and qualified for admission.
