Enugu State Polytechnic, formerly known as Enugu State College of Agriculture and Agro-Entrepreneurship, is a state-owned institution of higher learning. The Enugu State Government Edict No. 6 of May 2009 founded the polytechnic.
Enugu State Polytechnic is a tertiary institution that provides courses of instruction, training, and research in various colleges, including Engineering Technology, Agricultural Technology, Applied Science Technology, Business Management Technology, and other fields of study. The institution may and can confer diplomas and certificates in these fields of study on students who meet the requirements.
Enugu State Polytechnic, as a result of Nigeria’s growth vision and the realities of the moment, is designed to provide academic and technical courses in the fields of engineering, applied science, business administration, and agriculture to Polytechnic students and others under the following departments: Home Economics Department, Agricultural Technology Department, Veterinary Science Department, General and Entrepreneurship Studies Department, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, Animal Health and Production Technology Department, Horticultural Technology Department, and a host of others.
Advanced and efficient building structures that can be found at the institution include ICT centre, administrative complex, laboratories, fish ponds, staff offices, and so much more.

Enugu State Polytechnic was founded at Iwollo with the aim of releasing high-trained agricultural manpower to the society to address the challenges of food insecurity, not only in Enugu State but the whole of Nigeria.

Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Enugu State Governor, has approved Community Secondary School, Ezimo-Uno, as the temporary take-off point for the Enugu State Polytechnic, Iwollo’s Udenu campus, pending the completion of its permanent location. When the institution reopens after the Covid-19 break, the lectures (for specified faculties) will commence.
