A Review of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, popularly known as MAPOLY, is a state-owned polytechnic founded in 1980. Located in Abeokuta, Ogun State, it was established during the military administration of Harris Eghagha.

The institution is named after the late Nigerian businessman and politician, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola. MAPOLY was initially established as Ogun State Polytechnic. In January 1979, the polytechnic admitted its first set of 220 students.

Oke-Egunya and Onikolobo were the two temporary campuses that were initially established. Between April 1985 and March 1988, the polytechnic relocated to the Ojere campus.

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic has five schools, namely: Science and Technology, Business & Management Studies, Engineering, Communication & Information Technology, and Environmental Studies. The Centre for Part-Time and Diploma Programmes, on the other hand, is in charge of all part-time courses.

The mission of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic is “to produce skilled technological and professional manpower for self-reliance and community service by developing and deploying appropriate technologies and competencies with adequate linkages and partnerships.”

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Post UTME 2020

The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic invites qualified candidates seeking admission into its National Diploma (ND) programmes to apply for the Post UTME form.

Candidates must have chosen MAPOLY as their first or second institution choice and scored a minimum of 120 in the 2020 UTME. Those who did not choose MAPOLY as their first or second choice must seek for a change of institution with JAMB.

Candidated who are awaiting their O’ Level result are also qualified to apply.

The processing fee costs two thousand naira.

The documents required for the screening exercise include copies of the O’ Level result(s), copies of the online registration form, and UTME notification of result slip.

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic’s cut off mark is 120. For candidates to be qualified for the Post UTME screening and qualified for admission, they must score a minimum of 120 in the 2020 UTME.

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Part-Time

Centre for part-time studies runs courses on part-time basis. These courses have been approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) as full-time courses.
