Senate approves the establishment of 4 more law school campuses (full list)

The Nigerian Senate has approved a measure that will see the establishment of additional law school campuses throughout the country’s six geopolitical zones.

Smart Adeyemi, the senator representing Kogi West, was the primary sponsor of the law, which was passed on Tuesday, February 8, according to The Nation newspaper.

Following the adoption of a recommendation by the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal issues, the bill was passed.

Existing Law Campuses

  1. Abuja (North Central)
  2. Kano (Northwest) Enugu (Southeast)
  3. Yenegoa, Bayelsa state (South-South).
  4. Yola, Adamawa state (Northeast)
  5. Lagos (Southwest)

Proposed Law Campuses 

  1. Ifaki Law School Campus, Ekiti state (Southwest).
  2. Okija Law School Campus, Anambra state (Southeast)
  3. Orogun Law School Campus, Delta state (Southsouth)
  4. Kabba Law School Campus, Kogi state (Northcentral)
