A Detailed Review of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic

Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic is an institution of higher learning situated in Atikori Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State. The polytechnic’s roots can be traced back to Chief Victor Olabisi Onabanjo’s governorship of Ogun State from 1979 to 1982. Many prominent citizens of Ijebu Igbo worked tirelessly to ensure that ‘The Polytechnic, Ijebu Igbo’ became more a reality. During the second republic, the institution was established and relocated to the Technical College site.

Despite the fact that it did not prosper due to the government of the time, the people of Ijebu Igbo never let the setback deter them. They put in time and effort to ensure that the institution’s name was changed to Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic in 2009. It was named after Chief Abraham Aderibigbe Adesanya, a well-known politician, lawyer, and activist in the state and throughout the region.

Undoubtedly one of the best institutions for both indigenes and non-indigenes to receive quality education, Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic (AAPOLY) was established in 2006.

Students’ entrepreneurship skills are developed through the use of Information Communication Techniques (ICT) at the polytechnic. Professor Jumoke Bukunola Bilesanmi-Awoderu is the polytechnic’s rector, and Mr Femi Osiyale is the registrar.

Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic School Fees

The school fees for full-time and part-time National Diploma (ND) programmes cost around N25,000 to N30,000. The full-time Higher National Diploma (HND) school fee is around N30,000, and part-time is N35,000.

Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Post UTME Form

Here are the requirements for Post UTME screening at Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic:

• Candidates must possess a minimum of 4 credit passes in relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) at O’ Level.
• Candidates must have scored a minimum of 120 in the 2020 UTME.
• Candidates should visit the official portal to apply online. This can be done only after paying the screening fee.
• Candidates must have sat for the JAMB examination and passed. They must also be admitted by the Joint and Admissions Board (JAMB).
• Candidates must pay the Post UTME screening fee of two thousand naira.

Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Cut Off Mark

Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic cut off mark is 120. Candidates must score at least 120 in the 2020 UTME before they can be eligible for the Post UTME screening and considered for admission.

Requirements for National Diploma (ND) Full Time Programme

• Candidates must have chosen Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic as their first or second institution choice.
• Candidates must possess a minimum of 4 credit passes in relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) in O’ Level. It should be obtained at not more than one sitting. Candidates who did not meet this requirement should possess at least 5 credit passes (in relevant subjects) at O’ Level.
• Candidates must have obtained at least 120 in the 2020 UTME

Requirements for Higher National Diploma (HND) Programme

• The applicant must have completed a year of post-ND cognate experience (Industrial Training) and be able to prove it.
• Applicants with a National Diploma grade of less than a Lower credit (Pass grade) will be expected to have at least 2 years of post-ND cognate experience. You will not be eligible for admission if you have a Pass in your ND and have not completed up to two years of industrial training.
• The applicant must have a National Diploma (ND) in the appropriate fields with a minimum of Lower Credit. Furthermore, the applicant must have a minimum of 5 O’ level Credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.
• Professional credentials, such as ICAN, will offer candidates an edge over others.

All Higher National Diploma (HND) aspirants should be aware that they would be asked to fill in their JAMB Registration Number, which they used for their National Diploma Programme, when applying for any of the full-time programmes.
