The Federal University of Technology, Akure, popularly known as FUTA, was founded by the government. It was founded alongside several universities, such as the Federal University of Technology, Minna and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, with the aim of creating universities that would specialize in producing graduates with theoretical and practical knowledge of technologies.

Established in 1981, FUTA is located in Akure; which is the capital city of Ondo State.

FUTA aims at promoting technological advancement through the provision of a conducive environment for learning, teaching, and research.

FUTA Post UTME

Post-UTME screening exercise for all courses for the 2020/2021 academic session will be held between 21 September- 20 November 2020.

To qualify for the Post-UTME screening, candidates must:

Score 180 and above in JAMB UTME.
Have chosen FUTA as their first choice of institution.
Possess at least five credits in O’ Level, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings.

Candidates who applied for post-UTME screening are required to visit the official website, www.futa.edu.ng, for details about registration, fill and complete the online for Post-UTME applicant, and print out a copy of the registration form.

FUTA Cut Off Mark for All Courses

Candidates interested in enrolling for a degree at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, must score a minimum of 180 in JAMB UTME.

Candidates who score 180 or above will be qualified for the Post-UTME screening at FUTA.

FUTA Pre-Degree

The pre-degree programme at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, is a full-time programme that usually runs for one academic session of two semesters.

Candidates should possess at least five credit passes in relevant courses (including English Language and Mathematics) in O’ Level at not more than two sittings.
