The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State (FUPRE) was established in March 2007.
The establishment of FUPRE was initiated by the federal government as a means to create a specialized university that would provide the relevant expertise for the country’s oil and gas sector.
The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun initially started at the PTI Conference Centre, Effurun. It currently occupies large hectares of land.
FUPRE is a unique institution founded to train individuals for the oil and gas sector. It has the prospect to become an internationally-recognized institution that provides world-class education, research, and training for the petroleum and allied sectors.

FUPRE Post UTME
Candidates who scored 180 and above in UTME and chose the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, as their first choice are qualified to apply for the Post UTME screening exercise.
The Post UTME screening exercise will be held from the 30th of November, 2020 to the 11th of December, 2020, between 8:00 am and 5:00 am daily.
Registration is still ongoing and will close on 25 November 2020.
