The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH) is a state-funded and managed tertiary institution located in South-West Nigeria, Ogun State, to be precise. The polytechnic’s campus is situated in Igbesa, which is an industrial town. Igbesa is located around Ota and Agbara.

Popularly known as OGITECH, Ogun State Institute of Technology was founded in 2006, and it is remarkably recognized as a technology-intensive post-secondary education institution that boasts of producing skilled and knowledgeable graduates to Nigeria’s labour force. The polytechnic also claims to be one of Nigeria’s leading polytechnics in terms of ICT facilities.

Formerly known as Gateway Polytechnic, Igbesa, the institution is undoubtedly one of the most recognized polytechnics in the country. Ogun State Institute of Technology is proud of its diverse basic and advanced technology programmes aimed at improving the capacity building of Ogun State.

The institution offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in Environmental Technology, Engineering, Management, Sciences, and Communication. The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved all courses offered at the reputable institution.

Ogun State Polytechnic Ipokia

Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia, is a state-owned tertiary institution founded in 1979. In honour of the late Nigerian businessman and politician, Moshood Abiola, the polytechnic was renamed Moshood Abiola Polytechnic.

Located in Abeokuta, Ogun State, the institution offers various programmes at National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) levels.

Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Science

Three bills have been passed by the Ogun Assembly to amend the names of several state-owned higher tertiary institutions. Some of these institutions include Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu, and Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa-Ijebu.

The Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese-Ijebu, was renamed Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Sciences, Ilese-Ijebu after the amendment bills were passed.

Ogun State Polytechnic HND Form                 

Ogun State Institute of Technology invites qualified candidates seeking admission into its Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes to apply.

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) at O’ Level. It should be obtained at not more than two sittings.
  • Candidates must have obtained their National Diploma (in a relevant programme) from a recognized institution.
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of Lower Credit in their National Diploma certificate.
  • Candidates who possess less than Lower Credit in ND must obtain two years of post-industrial experience.
  • They must also possess at least one year post National Diploma industrial work experience.

Candidates must present these documents: birth certificate, certificate of origin, letter of attestation (addressed to the registrar), academic transcripts, and letter of one year industrial training.

Ogun State Polytechnic Ilaro

Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro is a state-owned tertiary institution located in Ogun State. It was founded by Decree No. 33 of July 25, 1979.

On November 15, 1979, the Polytechnic opened its doors to students on a temporary site established by its host community, the ancient town of Ilaro in Ogun State.

Anglican Grammar School, Ilaro, was the institution’s first site. In 1983, it relocated to its permanent location along Ilaro/Oja-Odan Road.

The Post UTME application form for the 2020/2021 academic session closed on the 24th of March, 2021. However, full-time and part-time Higher National Diploma (HND) and part-time National Diploma (ND) forms can still be obtained.
