The Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu was established in 1973 by the Administrator of the East Central State of Nigeria, Ajie Ukpabi Asika, under the then East Central State of Nigeria Edict No 10 of 1973.

The College of Technology, which offered courses in Engineering and Laboratory Technology leading to the award of an Ordinary Diploma, and the Institute of Administration, which provided brief in-service training of various grades, existed prior to the establishment of the Institute of Management and Technology.

The need for a higher learning institution to groom men and women in scientific, administrative, and engineering fields emerged in 1970. The Ukpabi Asika administration agreed to merge the former College of Technology with the Institute of Administration in October 1971. On April 1, 1972, both the institute and the College were put under the unified control of the cabinet office.

The Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu invites qualified candidates to apply for the Post UTME screening exercise for the 2020/2021 academic session.

Candidates are required to score a minimum of 120 in the 2020 UTME before they can be qualified for the Post UTME screening.

Candidates should visit the institution’s official portal: https://portal.imt.edu.ng/slms.application/application/index. Afterwards, click on ‘Apply.’
Complete the application form.
Before submitting the form, double-check the information on the summary page to ensure accuracy.
Choose INTERSWITCH as your payment method and create an INVOICE with a REMITA number. Afterwards, visit any bank to pay the application fee of two thousand Naira (#2000.00) through the INTERSWITCH platform under ENUGU STATE IGR payment.

Return to the portal, www.imt.edu.ng, after payment and print the application form.
Candidates are required to submit a valid phone number and email address.

Candidates who did not choose the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, as their first institution choice are advised to seek a change of institution with JAMB.
