A Review of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU)
Olabisi Onabanjo University is a state-owned institution of higher learning located in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.
Founded in 1982, OOU was formerly called Ogun State University (OSU). In May 29, 2001, it was renamed Olabisi Onabanjo University. This was in honour of a former civilian governor of Ogun State, Chief (Dr.) Olabisi Onabanjo. His efforts gave rise to the establishment of the university.

Olabisi Onabanjo University Post UTME
OOU’s Post UTME form for the 2020/2021 academic session is out. Registration is still ongoing and will end in December 18, 2020.
Candidates eligible for the Post UTME screening include:
- Candidates who scored 180 or above in the 2020/2021 UTME result and chose OOU as the first choice of institution.
- Candidates who did not choose OOU but scored 180 or above in JAMB, and are ready to change their first choice of institution to Olabisi Onabanjo University, on or before December 18, 2020.
To apply for the OOU Post UTME form, candidates are required to pay a sum of N2,000 for the screening exercise. Eligible candidates must create a profile through OOU’s portal: http://putme.oouagoiwoye.edu.ng/apply.php and generate a payment invoice.

The university’s school fees range between N200,000 and N300,000 per session.

Olabisi Onabanjo University Registrar
The institution’s registrar is Mr. Olufemi Ayodele Ogunwomoju. Mr. Ogunwomoju broke a thirty-five-year history by becoming the first alumnus to be appointed Registrar. A native of Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, he worked as an Administrative Officer in 1991 before rising to become the Deputy Registrar in 2007.

Studying Medicine at Olabisi Onabanjo University
To study medicine in OOU, candidates must possess at least 5 credit passes in relevant subjects (including Mathematics and English Language) in O’ Level.
The candidates must also meet the cut-off mark for Post UTME screening. However, to increase one’s chances of getting admitted, candidates might need to score 200 and above in JAMB.
