Four years after the SUG was disbanded, the OAU re-establishes its executive committee.
The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, officially inaugurated the new students’ union executives for the 2021/2022 parliamentary session on Tuesday, March 7, six months after the university’s general elections.
The new executives were sworn in by the institution’s vice-chancellor, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede, at the Afrika Amphi Theatre on the campus of the university.
Among those in attendance were the university’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abiodun Olanrewaju, as well as the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Isiaka Aransi, and other members of the university’s administrative staff and faculty.
Remember that the students’ union had its elections in September 2021 following the removal of a four-year restriction on its operations imposed by the university’s administration in 2017.
