117 students from Kebbi state get scholarship to study abroad.

The Kebbi State Government has supported 117 students to study at three universities in India through its scholarship program. The scholarship recipients were chosen by a committee chaired by Prof Muktar Umar Bunza, the state Commissioner for Higher Education.

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu addressed the students at a goodbye meal organized by the state government, urging them to be excellent ambassadors for the state and Nigeria as they make their way to their respective universities.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to education, noting that while this is not the first time the state has sponsored students abroad, this time was different because the state was able to mobilize and send the students despite economic constraints.
