Applications are requested from qualified individuals for admission to the Bachelors Degree Programmes recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria for the 2021/2022 academic year.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY INTO THE FIVE-YEAR PROGRAMS

Applicants must have earned a minimum of five (5) credit passes at Olevel/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB. English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two more topics from Geography, Government, or Principles of Account must be included on the passes. Commerce, Economic History Tourism, Civic Education, Yoruba, Hotel Management, and Computer Studies

Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Studies

Five (5) pass grades at ‘O’Level/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB. English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, and two other topics from Geography, Government, History, Business Studies, Tourism, Civic Education, Yoruba, Hospitality Management, and Computer Studies must be included on the passes.

Economics bachelor’s degree

Five (5) credit passes in Mathematics, Economics, English Language, and two additional courses, one of which must be from the Social Sciences, at the Olevel/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

Sociology bachelor’s degree

Five (5) credit passes in English language, mathematics, any two social science topics, and any additional subject at the Olevel/SCE/GCE/NABTEB examinations.

Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Behavioral Studies

Five (5) credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and any other two topics, one of which must be a social science subject.

Bachelor of Science in Geography and Planning Science

Five (5) credit passes at 0level in Mathematics, English Language, Geography, and two additional courses, one of which must be in the Social Sciences.

Bachelor of Science in Political Science

Five (5) Olevel credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Government, and two additional topics, one of which must be a Social Science subject, in the SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

Bachelor of Arts in History and International Studies

Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in English language, history/government, and three additional courses, at least one of which must be an arts topic.

Bachelor of Arts in French

Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in English language and any other four subjects obtained through SSCE/GCE/NABTEB examinations

Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy

Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in five subjects in the SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examination in English Language, with a minimum of a Pass in Mathematics and credit passes in any four other subjects.

Bachelor of Arts in English and Literary Studies

Five (5)’0 level credit passes in English Language and Literature in English, as well as any three topics from Yoruba, Government, History, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, French, Hausa, Igbo, Mathematics, Economics, and Civic Education.

Religious Studies bachelor’s degree

Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in English language and any other four subjects from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

Bachelor of Science in Mathematics

Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in English language, mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology/agricultural science from the SSCE/GCE/NABTEB examinations.

Bachelor of Science in Statistics

Five (5) O’level credit passes in English language, mathematics, physics, and two additional topics from Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Geography, Economics, Government, or Civic Education.

Environmental Management Bachelor’s Degree

Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in English language mathematics on the SSCE/GCE/NABTEB examinations. Geography and two other disciplines, at least one of which must be social/management science-related.

Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management

Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in English language, mathematics, and any other three subjects, at least two of which must be from the Faculties of Science, Management, and Social Sciences.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY TO THE FOUR-YEAR PROGRAMS

Applicants must meet the O’Level prerequisites specified in i-xxii for the proposed program of study. Additionally, candidates must possess the following:

(a) National Diploma in related fields from a recognized institution with a least of Lower Credit

OR

(b) Passed at least two GCE/A level subjects relevant to the position.

OR

(c)An Advanced National Diploma in related fields from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower Credit.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION TO THE TOP-UP PROGRAMME

Applicants must meet the OLevel admission standards for the programs of study for which they are applying. Additionally, candidates must hold a recognized Higher National Diploma in relevant areas with a minimum of Lower credit or a first degree in relevant disciplines from a recognized university.

  • Fill out the form below to create a new sign-in account.
  • After successfully logging in, locate and click on PART-TIME APPLICATION.
  • Proceed to make a payment on REMITA—visit the University’s website for instructions on how to make a payment on REMITA for a PARTTIME APPLICATION.
  • After completing step 5, log in to the Portal and input your RRR to confirm payment.
  • After completing your biodata, go to fill out your screening page and print it.

NOTE:

All courses demand that you complete the O’Level requirements in no more than two sittings.

All listed programmes are available on a PART-TIME basis, i.e. on weekends and weekdays, with the exception of B.Sc. Computer Science, which is only available on weekdays.

All submissions must be submitted in their whole within six weeks after the date of this posting.
