LASU student receives scholarship from the Nigerian Body of Senior Advocates

Sina Akinmusire, a final-year student at Lagos State University (LASU), has been selected as one of the recipients of the Nigerian Senior Advocates’ 2021 scholarship scheme (BOSAN)

According to a university statement, Akinmusire, a student in the faculty of law, and four other students from various universities in Nigeria were chosen for their outstanding performance in the BOSAN competition for university-level law students in the country.

The competition received nominations from no fewer than 114 first-class students at 34 universities across the country. Prof. Enefiok Essien SAN and former LASU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Lanre Fagbohun SAN judged the qualifying examination and then picked the candidates.

For the follow-up oral interview, the top 12 students with the highest examination results were chosen. Mr. Dele Adesina SAN, Mr. Sebastian Hon SAN, Mr. Liman Hassan SAN, Prof. Oluyemisi Bamgbose SAN, and Prof. Ayodele Atsenuwa SAN served on the panel of interviewers.

The BOSAN 2021 Annual Dinner and Scholarship Awards were hosted on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the famous Lagos Continental Hotel.

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo SAN, Nigeria’s Vice President; and Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo SAN, former Head of State of His Excellency General Abdulsalami Abubakar, were among the dignitaries in attendance.
