UNIOSUN Staff Volunteer Group announces scholarship for poor students at the institution
The UNIOSUN Staff Volunteer Group, in an effort to make a positive contribution to the community and humanitarian service while also reducing student drop-out rates, is delighted to announce the launch of the Scholarship Scheme for Indigent but Diligent Undergraduate Students for the academic year 2021/2022 and to welcome qualifying students to collect application forms in order to be considered for an award.
The Scheme’s goal is to identify academically qualified indigent undergraduate students at the university who are experiencing financial difficulties while pursuing their studies, and to provide financial assistance to such students in accordance with the seriousness of their needs, without regard to their tribe, ethnicity, or religious affiliation.
ELIGIBILITY
- The applicant must be impoverished and enrolled as a first-year undergraduate student at UNIOSUN.
- The student must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50;
- It is necessary to be at or above 200 level.
- It is not permitted to be on any scholarship; and
- Employees of the University, or children of employees, are not permitted to participate in the competition.
COMPILATION AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS
Students who are interested in participating are encouraged to grab FREE forms from their Departments, Faculty, and College Offices beginning on Friday, February 18, 2022. But the forms must be sent in to the Provost’s Office by Friday, March 25, 2022, or they will not be accepted.
