Students ordered to depart dorms, with the exception of PGD students

Following the continuation of the current strike by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, the management of the University of Ibadan ordered students to evacuate its residential halls on Thursday, March 17, for an extended period of time (ASUU).

The orders were contained in a bulletin published by the institution’s registrar, Mrs. Olubunmi Faluyi, on Thursday, following a meeting that was called on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, to deliberate on the continuing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

Students are ordered to depart dorms, with the exception of PGD students and others.

Those enrolled in postgraduate programs who have paid their tuition, as well as undergraduate students participating in industrial attachment and practical training, were excluded from leaving the campus, the institution said.
