ABU Zaria: A Detailed Guide

Ahmadu Bello University, remarkably known as ABU Zaria, is one of the most reputable universities in Sub-Saharan Africa. The institution began with 426 students, 15 academic departments, and the faculties of Law and Sciences, Engineering, and Agriculture.

The university presently has 82 academic departments, 12 faculties, 2 campuses, and a postgraduate school. ABU Zaria also has 6 specialized centres, and 5 institutes. The institution has over 6000 non-teaching, junior and senior administrative staff, 1,400 academic and research staff, and 35,000 students.

ABU Zaria nurtured two University Colleges: Abubakar Tafawa Balewa College (presently called the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University of Technology) and the Abdullahi Bayero College (presently called Bayero University).

Applicants are required to pay a screening fee of N2,000.

ABU Zaria Cut Off Mark

The UTME cut-off mark of ABU Zaria is 180. However, there are specific courses that are very competitive. These courses require that applicants score more than 200 to secure admission. Some of these courses include Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Common Law, Physiology, and Mass Communication.
