Educated’s purpose is to make postgraduate and scholarship applications easier to understand. These standards guide what we publish and how we handle uncertainty.
Sources and verification
Programme-specific eligibility, deadlines, fees, and funding details should be checked against the current official university, scholarship provider, or government source. We link to those sources so readers can check the underlying information themselves.
If an important requirement cannot be confirmed, we should say so or hold the article until it can be verified. Another blog is not a substitute for an official source.
Helpful explanations, honest limits
We distinguish factual requirements from general advice. Examples and sample wording are illustrative unless clearly identified otherwise. We do not invent applicant experiences, success rates, qualifications, or testimonials.
AI assistance and human responsibility
Educated may use AI to support research organisation, drafting, and editing. AI output is not evidence. Our standard requires a human review before publication, with factual claims checked against appropriate sources.
Updates and corrections
Requirements can change. Articles discussing time-sensitive information should identify the relevant application cycle and when the information was checked. A review date should reflect an actual review, not an automatic date change.
To report an error, email admin@educated.com.ng with the page link, the information you believe is wrong, and a supporting source where available. Material corrections should be explained on the affected page.
Commercial independence
Any sponsored content or affiliate relationship should be disclosed clearly. Advertising must be distinguishable from editorial content. Payment does not make an opportunity suitable for every reader.
