Federal Polytechnic Oko Admission Requirements
An Overview
Federal Polytechnic, Oko, is a tertiary institution managed and funded by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Formerly known as College of Arts, Science and Technology, the polytechnic is one of the most recognized tertiary institutions in the country.
Federal Polytechnic, Oko, is situated within Oko town in Orumba North Local Government of Anambra State. The institution was approved by the Anambra State Government, in 1979, to prepare candidates for the General Certificate in Education (GCE) examination.
It was upgraded to College of Arts, Science and Technology on the 28th of June, 1980. Through Edict No. 12 of 1985, it was formalized as the Anambra State Polytechnic, Oko. The Federal Government took over the institution in 1993 and renamed it Federal Polytechnic, Oko.
Federal Polytechnic, Oko has three campuses, namely: The main campus at Oko, Ufuma campus, and Atani campus.

Federal Polytechnic Oko Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission into the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must possess a minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) at O’ Level. It must be obtained at not more than two sittings.
- Candidates must have obtained at least 120 in the 2020 UTME and chosen the polytechnic as their first institution choice.
- Candidates must have obtained at least one year Post ND cognate work experience. In some cases, National Diploma holders with a pass and Post ND cognate work experience of not less than two years may be considered for admission to enroll in a Higher National Diploma (HND) programme.
