Federal College of Education, Katsina is a government-owned institution founded in 1976. The Federal Government of Nigeria established it intending to produce qualified teachers for the education sector.

Federal College of Education Katsina resumed on the 18th of January, 2021. Academic activities had earlier been put on hold due to a surge in the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Federal College of Education Iwo

The Federal Government has approved for a Federal Ministry of Education to be located in Osun State. The development of six colleges of education across the six-geo-political zones in Nigeria was recently approved by President Muhammed Buhari. Iwo, Osun state, falls into one of this category.

A bill to create a Federal College of Education in their domain was supported by 8 out of the 12 parliamentarians in Osun State. Hon. Yinusa Amobi and Senator Adelere Oriolowo were determined to ensure that the institution would be established in Iwo, Osun State.

Federal College of Education, Iwo commenced academic activities in October 2020. The establishment of the institution will increase the rate of employment and promote literacy in Iwo, Osun State.
