Abia State University: A Comprehensive Review
Abia State University is a state-owned institution of higher learning founded in 1981 as ‘Imo State University, Etiti.’ Abia State University moved to its permanent site at Uturu Okigwe between 1984 and 1985.
After Abia State was created in 1991, the university was renamed Abia State University, Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government Area, Abia State.
The university has two main campuses that offer undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programmes.

Abia State University Post UTME 2020
The Post UTME screening for the 2020/2021 academic session was scheduled to take place between August 24, 2020, and September 7, 2020.
For candidates to be qualified for the screening exercise, they must fulfill the following requirements:
- Candidates must have chosen Abia State University as their first choice. Candidates who did not choose this institution as their first choice must have effected a change of institution on the JAMB platform.
- Must have scored a minimum of 180 in UTME.
- Must possess at least 5 credits (including English Language and Mathematics) in O’ Level. This must be obtained at not more than two sittings.
Candidates are required to log into the official website (www.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng) and make the e-payment of two thousand naira only.
